This challenging par three has a most impressive design. Water runs from the front of the tee box all the way along the right side of the hole and ends behind the green. In addition, there is a large, sweeping front bunker and one small pot bunker to the right rear of the green. The wind usually blows hard from left to right towards the water. The only safe place to bail out is near the left side of the green (But too far left will find the trees and/or out of bounds). The green generally slopes from the left to the right. Just visualize your ball landing on the green before you hit your tee shot. **Note -- Because the concrete bulkhead defines the hazard line, there is no free relief if your ball comes to rest against it.

Out of bounds runs along the entire length of the left side of this hole. Your tee shot will get help from a strong following wind. Take notice of the two fairway bunkers on the right side of the fairway (They are reachable from the tee box). Keep your drive in the short grass. The green is well protected by three bunkers (One front left, one left side, and one behind the green). Also, the green is slightly open to the front right. Remember, your approach shot will get help from a strong following wind (You may want to choose one less club). It is not unusual to find your ball in the rear bunker when you think you're on the green.

This hole is sneaky long and just a little bit intimidating. The layout is dead straight into a stiff wind and your approach shot to the green is over water. If your tee shot is short, the safe play is to lay up to the front left side of the green. If you are going to hit over the water to the green, you may want to choose one more club or possibly two. The green is well protected in front by water, one left rear bunker, and one right rear bunker. The wind, length, and the pond in front of this green combine to make it one of the most formidable holes on the course. Good Luck!
