The number one handicap hole on the East course is an impressive example of golf course architecture. Your tee shot is hit from a cliff side tee box over rocks and jungle growth (At least a 150 yard carry to the fairway landing area). Use the small tree on the right as your target line. The prevailing wind is usually blowing from right to left and the cliff line runs along the entire length of the left side of the hole. Your approach shot demands precise club selection and pin-point accuracy (The wind is at your back and one quarter right to left). The green is very well protested by jungle to the right, jungle to the rear, the ocean to the left, and two sand traps to the left. The relatively flat green is sometimes difficult to hold. A par on this hole should be recorded in your personal golf history book.

Hole number eight is a welcome relief after playing the last hole. This hole offers almost every player a good chance for a birdie. Just do not hit your ball to the left (Out of bounds runs along the left side of this hole). An average tee shot will leave you a pitching wedge for your approach shot. Knock it at the flag stick and make that birdie putt .

The yardage printed on the scorecard does not give you the real length of this hole. The layout runs steeply uphill and the fairway slopes to the left. In addition, there is a strong prevailing wind which blows from right to left and out of bounds runs along the entire left side of the golf hole. The two fairway bunkers are reachable from the tee box. You will hit your approach shot to a large and flat elevated green which is protected by three green side bunkers (You might want to choose one or two clubs extra). Make sure to aim your approach shot at the bunker on the right side of the green. Remember, the wind gusts severely from right to left towards the OB.
