Don't let the yardage on the scorecard fool you. The layout of the first hole of the East course is uphill and dead into the wind. Also, out of bounds runs along the entire length of the left side and continues behind the green. You will need to use one or two more clubs for your approach shot to the green. The green is protected by three well positioned bunkers (One directly in front, One front left side,and one left rear). Watch out for that enticing front bunker.

Hole number two demands driving accuracy. Out of bounds runs along the entire left side and there is dense jungle on the right. In addition, a strong prevailing wind blows from the left to the right. The two fairway bunkers on the right are reachable from the tee box. Just find the short grass with your tee shot. Your second shot has plenty of fairway to use. You should have less than 130 yards left for your approach shot. The green is protected by only two bunkers (One directly in front and one to the left ). Once again, that front bunker can ruin your chance for a birdie.Knock it close and sink that birdie putt!

You can play this hole safe for par; or you can take a chance for birdie or eagle,or quite possibly, a double bogey. The big hitter can cut off the left corner of the dogleg and have only 180-200 yards left to the green. The tee box is elevated with the prevailing wind usually at your back and the layout is downhill. But out of bounds runs along the left side and there is jungle on the right. The fairway bunker on the right is reachable from the tee box; so is the jungle. You will hit your second and third shot into a strong crossing wind which blows left to right. The approach shot to this green will make even the most seasoned golf professional a little bit nervous. There is out of bounds on the left, jungle on the right, and the green is totally encircled by six bunkers. An additional challenge is the contoured green with a hump in the middle of it. This is a high risk/reward par five. Have fun!
